Roses are red, Violets are blue..

I'm sure you must have seen many sarcastic and funny lines beginning with "Roses are red, Violets are Blue.." combination over the years.With the popularity of rage comics and the internet based GAG'ish culture this simple nursery rhyme became very popular as a prefix for any expression.You can still find the supposed original version here.

But what I want to do is not attach another expression to those two lines, instead talk about Roses and their colors.

Yesterday I had a little chat with a friend and I had to once again recall bits and pieces from my past where I had to bring about the concept of a "Blue Rose". Now what on earth does a "Blue Rose" mean ? I have explained it to a many and I'm sure I'll have to explain it to a many as well ! But yesterday I thought after the conversation, why not publish it once and for all and point it here whenever I need to explain someone what it is.

So here it is ! The story of Roses and the meanings of their colours.

Red Rose:Love and Romance

White Rose:Purity, Innocence, Sympathy, Spirituality

Yellow Rose:Friendship, Joy, Get Well

Pink Rose:Love, Gratitude, Appreciation

Black Rose:Death, Farewell

Blue Rose:The unattainable, the impossible
